BIOGRAPHY

Christian Heubner is the Group Manager of Electrochemical Methods and Technologies at Fraunhofer IKTS. His work centres on electrochemical processes for recovering and separating critical raw materials, including lithium and rare earth elements, from brines, recycling streams, and complex process waters.

Christian brings over ten years of experience in electrochemical materials, battery technologies, and process development. His current work covers scalable electrochemical platforms for resource recovery and hydrometallurgical integration, applying to lithium and rare earth separation from complex process streams.
